The function of the corn thresher is to thresh the corn ears after drying. Most of them are axial flow drum type, and there are also vertical threshing disc types. Because it has the characteristics of high production efficiency, good threshing quality, easy operation, simple structure, sturdy and durable, reliable work and convenient use and maintenance, it has been popular with farmers for many years.

The corn thresher is mainly composed of a drum, a concave plate, a sieve, a fan, a feeding hopper, a grain slide, a spiral guide rod, etc. It uses an axial flow threshing device that feeds tangentially into the cob at the end of the shaft. Its technological process: the ears of corn enter the drum through the feeding hopper, and are threshed under the impact of the high-speed rotary drum and the interaction of the ears of corn, the drum and the concave plate. Most of the removed grains and fine impurities pass through the holes in the concave plate and are cleaned by the fan. The light mixture is blown out of the discharge port, and the grains are slid out of the machine by the grain slide. The cob moves backward along the axial direction of the drum, and the outlet of the shaft end is discharged out of the machine through the surface of the vibrating screen, and part of the grain entrained in the cob leaks through the sieve hole and enters the grain slide slide out of the machine.

The following should be paid attention to during the use of corn thresher:
1) Because the working environment of the thresher is very harsh, it is necessary to educate the personnel participating in the operation in advance on safe operation, so that they can understand the operating procedures and safety knowledge, such as tight sleeves, masks and protective glasses, etc.
2) Before use, it is necessary to carefully check whether the rotating part is flexible and collision-free, whether the adjustment mechanism is normal, and whether the safety facilities are complete and effective; To ensure that there is no debris in the machine, lubricating oil should be added to each lubricating part.
3) The operation site should be cleaned before starting, and some sundries unrelated to threshing should not be placed; Children should not be allowed to play on the edge of the field to avoid accidents.
4) When working, the corn cob should be fed evenly, and stones, wooden sticks and other hard objects should be strictly prevented from feeding into the machine.
5) The joints of the transmission belt should be firm, and it is strictly forbidden to take off the hanging belt or touch any object to the transmission part when the machine is running.
6) The transmission ratio between the supporting power and the thresher should meet the requirements, so as to avoid personal injury accidents caused by excessive speed and violent vibration of the threshing machine, which will damage the parts or loosen the fasteners.
7) It is not possible to work continuously for too long, and generally stop for inspection, adjustment and lubrication for about 8 hours to prevent serious friction from causing wear, heating or deformation.
8) When the thresher is powered by a diesel engine, a fireproof cover should be worn on the exhaust pipe to prevent fire.
9) If the threshing machine fails during operation, it should be stopped for maintenance and adjustment.
