Commonly used drinking water equipment includes vacuum drinking fountains, pendant drinking fountains, nipple drinking fountains, cup drinking fountains and long sinks.

(1) Tower-shaped vacuum drinker
It is mostly composed of a barrel with a pointed top and a chassis with a slightly larger diameter than the barrel. The top and side walls of the barrel do not leak, and there are 1~2 small round holes (diameter 0.5~1.0 cm) at the base 2.5 cm high from the chassis. When using, first make the top of the bucket face down, fill the water to the round hole, and then buckle the chassis and flip it over. In this way, the air can enter the barrel from the contact gap and round hole of the barrel and pan, and the water in the barrel can flow to the chassis; When the water level in the disc is higher than the round hole, the air cannot enter, a vacuum is formed at the top of the barrel, and the water stops flowing out, so that the water level of the chassis is always slightly higher than the upper edge of the round hole, until the water in the barrel is used up. This kind of drinking fountain is simple in structure, easy to use, easy to clean and disinfect. It can be made of galvanized iron sheet, plastic and other materials, and can also be made of large-mouth glass bottles, etc., which is convenient to take and easy to promote.

(2) V-shaped or U-shaped drinking trough
The V-shaped drinking trough is mostly made of galvanized iron sheet. In the past, most caged chickens used V-shaped drinking troughs, but because they were made of metal, the sinks generally corroded and leaked after about 3 years of use, forcing the troughs to be replaced. The U-shaped sink made of plastic solves the problem of corrosion and leakage of the V-shaped sink. The U-shaped sink is easy to use, easy to clean, and has a long lifespan.
1) Long-flowing drinking trough
A constantly open faucet is installed at one end of the sink and an overflow plug and outlet pipe at the other end to control the level of the liquid. When cleaning, remove the overflow plug.
2) Float valve drinking tank
One end of the sink is connected to the float chamber, and a set of floats and valves are installed in the chamber. When the water level in the sink drops, the float falls and the valve opens, and the water flows into the tank, and when the water surface reaches a certain height, the float rises and closes the valve, and the water stops flowing.
3) Spring-valve drinking trough
The entire sink is hung on a spring valve, and the weight of the water in the sink is used to control the opening and closing of the valve.
(3) Pendant drinking fountain
It is hung in the chicken coop, does not hinder the activities of the chickens, is mostly used for flat chickens, and its composition is divided into two parts: drinking tray and control mechanism. The drinking tray is a tower-shaped plastic tray with a hollow center and an annular trough on the edge for the chickens to drink. The upper end of the valve body that controls the water outlet is connected to the main water pipe with a hose, and the other end is hung from the ceiling with a rope. The drinking tray is hung on the control rod of the valve body to control the opening and closing of the outlet valve. When there is no water in the drinking tray, the weight is reduced, and the spring overcomes the weight of the drinking tray, so that the control lever moves upward, and the outlet valve is opened, and the water flows into the annular groove along the surface of the drinking tray from the lower end of the valve body. When the water surface reaches a certain height, the weight of the drinking tray increases, and the spring tension is increased, so that the control lever moves downward, and the outlet valve is closed, and the water stops flowing out.

(4) Nipple drinker
It is composed of a spool and a contact rod, and is directly connected to the water pipe. Due to the action of the capillary, a drop of water is often hanging on the contact rod, and when the chicken needs to drink water, as long as it pecks the contact rod, the water will flow out. After the chicken finished drinking, the contact rod sealed the waterway, and the water stopped flowing out. This drinker is installed above the head of the chicken and allows the chicken to raise its head to drink. The height of the installation varies with the size of the chicken, and it can be installed inside or outside the cage.

(5) Cup drinking fountain
Shaped like a water cup, it is connected to a water pipe. There is a touch plate in the cup, usually there is some water left on the touch plate, when the chicken pecks the touch plate, the valve is opened through the linkage rod, and the water flows into the cup. After the chicken drinks water, the buoyancy of the water returns the touch plate to its original position, and the water no longer flows out.
