The so-called beak cutting is to use a beak cutting machine or scissors to cut off the beak end of the chicken, which is commonly known as "broken mouth" by the masses. Timely beak cutting is conducive to strengthening the feeding management of chicks. If the chicken house is poorly ventilated, the light is too strong, the feeding density is too large, and the nutrition of the feed is unbalanced (especially the lack of animal protein feed and minerals), etc., it will cause the chicken flock to peck feathers, peck toes, peck anus and other vices. Once a malice occurs, it is necessary to find out the cause and improve the feeding management. However, the most effective measure to prevent the occurrence of malice is beak cutting, and beak cutting can also prevent chicks from throwing feed and reduce feed waste.

Beak cutting time and method:
The beak of chickens is generally broken twice, and the first beak is broken during the brooding period, and the time is arranged at 7~10 days old.The second beak is in the breeding period, the time is between 10~14 weeks old, the purpose is to trim the first beak resection unsuccessful or regrown beak. Large and medium-sized chicken farms mostly use special electric beak breakers for chick beak breaking. There is a small hole with a diameter of 0.44 cm on the electric beak breaker, the beak part is inserted into the hole when the beak is broken, and a hot blade (temperature 815 °C) is cut from top to bottom, and after 3 seconds of contact, the excision and hemostasis work is completed. During operation, the head of the chicken is tilted in the direction of the blade, so that the upper beak is more cut than the lower beak, and the excised part is 1/2 of the upper beak from the end of the beak to the nostril, and the lower beak is 1/3 of the beak tip to the nostril, forming a short upper and lower length.
