In the process of daily technical services, layer practitioners or intended practitioners are always asking the question of who is good and bad in the day cage and A cage to raise commercial laying hens. The author's view on this issue is: don't simply comment, but make a comprehensive evaluation and reasonable selection according to your own financial situation, land resource status, technical reserves, future development, etc.
1. Relatively speaking, H cage has higher requirements for environmental control technology than A cage. The characteristics of fully enclosed, high-density and large-scale H cage put forward higher and more detailed requirements for automatic environmental control and daily feeding management. Chicken farms need to reserve professional and technical personnel with rich practical experience in advance who can accurately and reasonably use these environmental control equipment under different chicken houses, different outside temperatures, different seasons, and different ages. This cross-industry expertise is difficult to reach and difficult to accumulate in previous chicken farming practices. It's like driving, I used to drive an A-class car with manual transmission, but now it is a reason to drive a fully automatic luxury RV, which takes a long time to run-in.

2. H cage has more supporting facilities and management than A cage, and the follow-up of nutrition needs to be carefully implemented
In contrast, H cage has the characteristics of "three more", one is the need for more funds, each cage to about 45 yuan / only about 45 yuan (equipment manufacturers are different, quality and price are different), which not only has a one-time capital investment, but also fully consider the depreciation, loan pressure; Second, there are many supporting equipment needed, generators and transformers with higher power are needed, especially in rural areas, the solution plan for power outages should be fully prepared. The third is the need for nutrition, high management level, high-density H cage per cubic meter of breeding density, harsh environmental requirements, coupled with light, feeding, drinking water constraints exist in the flock of individual competition intensified, compared to A cage with higher feed nutrient concentration (otherwise the rate of death will increase, eggshell quality is poor), the degree of refinement of management is also high. This requires breaking the outdated concept and carefully considering the recruitment and employment of personnel, the allocation of feed, and the selection of personnel.

3. The use of H cage or A cage should be based on your own reality, and you must not rush in. In contrast, H cage unit land area can raise more chickens, for land resources, cost pressure is really large, and do need to plan the breeding of group companies, etc., with H cage breeding is a good choice, and for the land resources are relatively loose, manure treatment is good, with good breeding benefits and a certain scale, there is no need to covet the height of H cage. Beneath the tall exterior is huge financial pressure and unavoidable hardships, which cannot be seen on the surface.

4. The breeding efficiency of a single chicken has little to do with what cage is used. Regardless of the type of cage, the basic environmental conditions must be met: each chicken occupies an area of about 490-750 square centimeters; 7~12 cm feeding position (see Hailan 2018 manual above) and 3~4 chickens with one nipple (there are generally fewer nipples behind H cage, the problem is that the width is limited, and it will not work if you install more). Let's take a manufacturer's H cage as an example, each small cage is 80 cm x 62 cm, and it is about to be raised according to the above density requirements
6.6~10.1 only follow the principle of being able to raise less, not more (the above-mentioned cage raises 6 chickens, there is no bad one), no matter what kind of cage meets the above conditions, it is not difficult to raise a good chicken, if you simply listen to the cage manufacturer, then it will be difficult to raise a good chicken. Relatively speaking, cage A relies on intensive cultivation to be profitable, and cage H relies on extensive cultivation to survive, nothing more.
