A-type laying hen cage is China's chicken industry from free-range to intensive breeding after the first promotion and application of chicken cages, with the increasing scale and intensification of the chicken industry, the emergence of H-type cage greatly improves the feeding density and management efficiency of cage laying hens, and effectively reduces labor costs. However, the H-type chicken cage has higher requirements for the conditions of the chicken house, and it is necessary to build a closed chicken house, which restricts the circulation of air, which is a new test for the microbial environment inside the chicken house. In this study, the microbial environment in the chicken houses of 11 large-scale layer farms was evaluated, and the effects of A-type cages and H-type cages on the microbial environment of chicken houses were compared in the actual production process. The results showed that there were no significant differences in the total number of colonies, the most likely number of coliform bacteria (MPN) and the positive rate of Salmonella in H cages compared with those in Type A cages, but there were significant differences in microbial content in different houses with the same cage type and the same feeding density. In addition, it was found that the total number of colonies and the most probable number of coliform bacteria (MPN) in the chicken houses in different seasons were quite different.
